Eye examinations
Your eyes are essential and the quality of your vision changes everything. If you’re between the ages of 18 and 65, with no health problems, consider a complete eye exam every two years. Otherwise, an annual exam is the safest way to go.
Our optometrists are meticulous, knowledgeable and careful when it comes to thoroughly examining the health of your eyes. During the exam, expect your assigned optometrist to review elements, such as your :
- Medical history
- Visual acuity for each eye
- Level of refraction
- Muscle coordination in each eye
- Colour and depth perception
- Pupillary reactions
- Peripheral vision
- Pressure for each eye
Important to know: the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ) covers the cost of a visual examination for people under 18, and those who are over 65. Income security recipients and those with a visual impairment also benefit from RAMQ coverage.
